Clarity before treatment
Gain a clear, expert understanding of what is driving your stress and/or anxiety, and a personalised plan for what to do next
Welcome to Krause Clinical Psychology (KCP), the specialist online clinic helping people get to the root of their stress and anxiety before starting treatment.
Our service was designed for adults who want to find the treatment that is right for them, not simply the one that is most available or widely known.
Through the KCP Clarity Assessment™, we take the time to understand what is really driving your difficulties and provide clear, evidence-based recommendations on the approach most likely to help.
So you can move forward with the right support and the best chance of success.
Making sense of your anxiety
Understanding ourselves is not always straightforward, especially when we are already overwhelmed. In those moments, it can be hard to know where to begin or what will actually help.
No one comes with an instruction manual or a clear map of their mind, and with so many different professionals, therapy models and routes into care, it’s easy to feel unsure about where to start.
As a result, it can be easy to jump to the first available form of help, or the most well-known, potentially wasting precious time and energy on accessing the wrong support.
That’s where a clear, evidence-based and clinically-proven understanding of your difficulties can make a real difference, helping you start in the right place and move forward with confidence.
The KCP Clarity Assessment™ is designed for adults who may
be experiencing stress or anxiety
be unsure about where to start
be fed up with not knowing who can really help
be unsure what support might actually look like
have tried something previously that didn’t work
We are the experts in Clinical Psychology and you know yourself better than anyone. Together, we will uncover an understanding of your anxiety that makes sense so you can move forward with confidence.
“We often see people who have had unhelpful or frustrating experiences with treatment, simply because the wrong approach was taken from the start.
“We developed the KCP Clarity Assessment™ to fully understand you and your anxiety first, before guiding you towards the approach most likely to help.”

Frequently Asked Questions
-
If you are feeling stressed or anxious, it is important to understand what is causing your issues and what is maintaining them before moving onto solutions.
A KCP Clarity Assessment™ can be a helpful starting point.
It gives you a clear understanding of what’s going on and a practical plan for what to do next.
If you are unsure if a KCP Clarity Assessment™ is suitable for you, see here.
-
When you feel stressed or anxious, it’s natural to want relief quickly. But without a clear understanding of what is driving the difficulty, it’s easy to choose support that doesn’t quite fit.
You may have even received help, but become less interested or engaged with it as it did not feel quite what you needed.
Stress and anxiety can look similar on the surface yet be maintained by very different patterns.
A KCP Clarity Assessment™ helps you understand what is happening, what is keeping it going, and which evidence-based next steps are most likely to help.
For some people, that clarity is enough to create the necessary change itself.
For others, it ensures that any further support is focused, efficient and worthwhile.

Therapy involves ongoing sessions, whereas a KCP Clarity Assessment™ is a one-off process.
It often takes place before or even instead of therapy, and is focussed on providing clarity, direction and confidence as you manage your anxiety.
A KCP Clarity Assessment™ ensures that you are on the right path from the start.

The KCP Clarity Assessment™ is carried out by a Clinical Psychologist, who is a highly trained specialist in understanding how thoughts, emotions, behaviours and life experiences interact.
Clinical Psychologists complete extensive doctoral-level training and are experts in a broad range of evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
This means they are uniquely skilled at developing a clear, structured understanding of your difficulties and identifying what is most likely to help.
At KCP, this level of expertise ensures your assessment is not just descriptive, but clinically grounded, personalised and focused on practical next steps.
-
We offer something different from standard mental health support: clarity before action.
Our KCP Clarity Assessments™ are led by highly experienced Clinical Psychologists and focus on building a deep, structured understanding of your difficulties, rather than moving quickly into treatment that may not fully fit.
We take the time to look at the bigger picture, including your history, current challenges, and the patterns that may be keeping things going. This allows us to develop a personalised formulation that explains what is happening and, importantly, what is most likely to help.
Clients choose KCP because they want expert input, clear direction, and confidence in their next steps, whether that is therapy, a different type of support, or a more informed decision about what to do next.
